Our Customer, a large curtain walling contactor, required 6,000 large fixing brackets ( weighing a total of 8,300 kgs ) made from aluminium extrusion for a prestigious London building construction project. Time was of the essence as any delay would result in financial penalty clauses kicking in.
The brackets were designed by the customer to be fabricated from an aluminium extrusion which originally proved too large and complex for most mills to contemplate. After some design input Custom Profiles sourced the extrusion from a specialist Northern European supplier. Once produced and shipped to the UK, the extrusion was cut to short lengths and drilled, providing a variety of fixing points, turning the section into the brackets required by the customer. Once produced the brackets were shipped to the customer on time for him to powder coat, in house, ready for the building site and work to commence.
